FAQ

GCSE and IGCSE are qualifications at the same level of education. GCSE is offered in schools in the UK and IGCSE caters to the international audience and uk private candidates. In some subjects and boards, the syllabus and method of examination may vary. The Cambridge IGCSE qualification is the same in terms of academic rigour as the GCSE, hence choosing the IGCSE does not indicate choosing a lesser qualification.

Leading universities accept Cambridge IGCSEs as equivalent to GCSEs. Students also need suitable A-Level or IAL qualifications for university entry. Subject requirements vary and should be checked before applying.

GCSE exam-booking support is available. Follow the link or contact the school with the student's subjects and exam board for further guidance.

Sprout provides online learning, not online exams. Students sit exams in person at approved examination centres. The school helps arrange a suitable centre based on location, subjects and exam board.

There is no need to organize separate in-person practical exams in the IGCSE and International A-level science courses that are delivered by Sprout. The practical abilities are assessed via the written exam paper, therefore, there is no need to arrange the separate place for a practical exam.

The exam-booking form includes access-arrangement and additional-support requirements. A consultation can help clarify available support. Early disclosure helps identify an exam centre offering the required services.
